Its a great school, you just have to adjust to it and find your place.

The best thing about Villanova is definitely the people and the welcoming community. It's easy to get involved if you want to, and I've really learning that knocking on doors and making calls works. People are willing to get to know you, help you out, or help you get amazing opportunities. One of the worst things about Villanova is that people might make judgments about you, but that happens anywhere.

Villanova is close to Philly which is nice, but the trains stop running back at only twelve thirty! Also, people here take cabs everywhere, which I find to be annoying and expensive. Nova does have a very picturesque campus, from the prominent church to Bartley Hall.

Villanova is not a party school. If you were looking for a crazy college time, this is not the place (try a public school). Freshman and Sophmore year you are bound to campus because you are not allowed to have a car. So, get to know someone who has car, or try and get permission to have your car on campus. Don't even try and go to the bars until you are 21, they are brutal and still ask me for back-up id. Philly has a lot of great places to hang out/go out. Just be careful because trains stop running back to nova at around 12. Oh, cops are the worst around here. They will try and bust you for anything they can. The same goes for public safety, they are not your friend. Freshman and Sophmore year, public safety will be sitting at a desk to check your wildcards when you come in for a night. Many a student has been deemed drunk by public safety and "VEMS" is called (thats Villanova Emergency Medical Service. Beware of this, and try to act straight when you walk past them, because not only willl you get in trouble with the bitchy probation dean, you will be presenting your parents with a heafty bill from the hospital. Another important thing to hear before you decide to come here. Freshman year you have "curfew." After 12 mid-night on weekdays and 2am on weekends, you are no longer allowed to be in someone's room of the opposite sex, nor are people of the opposite sex allowed in your room. Pretty lame huh? and the RA's actually enforce it. Also, you are not allowed to "sign in" someone of the opposite sex. Of course there are ways around that, but annoying never the less.

Don't come here if you went to public school and have an aversion to public schools. If you're jewish and choose to attend, you'll raise the jewish population on campus by 100{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c}.

Dorms should be improves. The staff is sometimes extremely rude (dining halls etc). They are too focused on the Business school and its curriculum is not evwn THAT great.
