Walters State Community College Top Questions

I wish I would have known how to study and have time management skills. The transition from high school to college was very different. After failing my first anatomy 1 test I realized I had no idea how to study. After spreaking with my teacher I finally started improving and could really tell my improvement in my grades! I wish I would had known how to have better time managament skills as well. Until I got used to college I was really bad about waiting until the last minute to complete assignments.

I did not have the foresight to apply to multiple colleges. Unforseen changes in my life made it a difficult process to decide which options were the best to take. My simple advise is "Give yourself options". It is better to spend some money on college applications to schools you may not plan on attending, than it is to wish you had before the deadline has passed. This advise would have been the most useful for me had I received it.

I honestly don't think I have anything I wish I had known. I believe living in the area of the school and researching my options thouroughly enabled me to make the right desicion about coming to Walter State. I know the process that is before me with so much familiaritly that I might even be able to recite it in my sleep. My advisor did a great job in enabling me to make the right decision and I don't regret anything or think I missed anything to wish for along the way.

I enrolled at Walter State Community College in August 09. I am currently majoring in Health Information Technology. I wish I had known that this 2 year program was offered through Regents Online Degree Program prior to regristering in 2009. I'm sure I would have returned to college long before I hit 50 years old. The RODP program is available to students 24 hours, no set class hours. As a working adult making classes on time would have been difficult . The virtual classroom is excellent. The teachers have been most helpful with my returning to college.

There is nothing i wish i had known, I had preared myself befor ever coming to this school.
