Warner University Top Questions

What should every freshman at Warner University know before they start?

Thomas

Research well, and seek the consol of others. Not just the person on the other end of the phone from that new college. But people like your parents, alumni from the school, and God. At the college you chose to attend you should get involved. Not only in extra curricular activates, but activities that will give back to the school. This will only increase your love of your new school and make your time there much more enjoyable. Know what kind of school you are getting into. If you show up to the school and it is not what you are disappointed for some reason, don't complain about it. It will make your time there and your new friends around less then "fun." Good luck finding the school for you. TJ Johnson

Finding the right school can be difficult. For me is was all about visiting the school. When i first visited Warner i was at home. And i couldn't be anywhere else. Look for that home away from home and you will be ok. To make the most of your college experience don't put all yourstress on the book work. There is so much more to learn by experience and getting to know people and your proffessors. Life is so much more than reading a book and writing a paper and the faster you learn that the better off you will be!

To parents I would say, look past what you want for your child. You want what is best but also look for what fits them, their needs and their wants. Sometimes parents forget that we as students may need the chance to go for something we think we want before we discover what we really want. Not that it was a mistake, but a learning experience, and a college should be open to that. Students should remember to work for what they want. Deciding when to have fun, and when it has to be put off isn't just a part of growing up, it's a part of having fun. Fun seems a lot less fun when you suddenly realize that you should have spent that time studying. If you know you have everything done that you need to, you can totally let go, and just hang out with your friends. A school that has great academics but no one that you connect with is not the school for you, friends help you survive in college, and to go to a school where you don't click with anyone is torturing yourself. You need friends and caring teachers.
