Since Pullman is such a small town, anyone who does not feel comfortable living away from a bigger city should probably not attend Washington State University, even though the student population is fairly large. From my experience there, WSU is quite ethnically diverse, with large groups or foreign students. If someone does not feel comfortable with that, WSU is probably not a good choice for them.

Rebecca

Any student can attend this school, there are services for students with disabilities, who are poor, minorities, athletes, artists, etc. I think all kinds of students can attend this school and achieve their goals. If you need the "city" feeling in your life, you should not attend Washington State University, at Pullman. The city of Pullman is the university. Pullman caters to the students in so many ways. There is a bowling alley, fast food, quaint coffee places, and a Wal-mart, but not much else. WSU focuses on being a community of students and faculty, rather than a vast expanse of concrete jungle that could surround a university. Being a student here in Pullman means that you have less fancy distractions, and more learning and a sense of community.
