My classmates have been nothing, but nice people who have contributed many different perspectives to the classroom.
Taylor
I wouldn't want to be with any other class mates:)
Chelsea
The students are nice and welcoming to all. (in a general)

The students at Winona State University are very different. This isn't a very cliquey school, so everyone gets along with every one! In High School the athletes stuck with their atlete friends and the drama fans were pretty much thier own clique. At this University, there is a very mixed dynamic. Im friends with 2 people on the Lacrosse team and with someone on the Rugby team. I am a very study focused person, but my friends are all very different types of people.

Winona State is a diverse school. There are international students, in-state students, and out-of-state students. It is impossible for a student to feel out of place at WSU because there is a club on campus for any of your interests. Many different students interact on campus because the student body is welcoming of differences. In my opinion, the more unique a person the better!

At Winona State there is a wide variety of students that go here. There are a lot of foreign exchange students that have come here from either China or Japan. There is a huge program they have here for that. Most students don't dress up going to class unless they are giving a speech or are going to be teaching some where. Just like every school there are a huge variety of different groups. There are people who involved with church, swimming, sororities, frats, health, etc. There are a lot of different clubs that you can be in also. All of the students here don't have a problem interacting with one another. Students here tend to think about their future because that is potentially why we are at school.

All the students here are very nice and welcoming. I have had no problem making friends whatsoever. I think a student that is naturally shy and is a homebody might not enjoy this school because a lot of people like to go out and do things on weekends. With regards to dress, it's pretty much half and half with dressing up and wearing sweats. The dining hall groups here are the athletes who always sit together and eat a TON, the asians and other international students who mostly stick together, the group of girls and guys that are all friends, and the upperclassmen who still live on campus with meal plans. A lot of students live with in four hours of Winona. I haven't really noticed whether students are politically aware or their financial backgrounds, no one really talks about it.

My classmates are very kind and helpful because they are going through the same things that I am.

There is no way to generalize this. Some are religious, some are jocks, some are artsy, theatrical, 'nerdy', anything you can imagine. We have clubs for everyone. I can't think of a 'type' of person that I haven't seen around campus.

Study hard, play hard. Lots of clubs to attend, also the international students are doing good on cross-culture programs, the American students can learn more on different culture.

The classmates I have are friendly and easy to get along with, and I enjoy talking with them about the subjects we study.
Chelsea
My classmates at Winona State are all pretty friendly and welcoming. I have yet to run into anyone that wasn't open to meeting knew people and embracing the college experience. Upperclassman do their best to help you if you need some or to just make you feel comfortable in a new environment.

Students at Winona State University are friendly and outgoing. We love to ban together and support our mighty warrior sports!

Come to Winona on any day in either the Fall or Spring, and you will see a sea of Purple. It is because at Winona, school spirit is not hard to find. Nor is friendliness. No matter where you go, everyone seems to greet you with a hello, whether you be a freshman or professor. Students are full of spunk, excited to learn, proud of where they came from and excited for where they are going. Winona is truly a home away from home.
Jennifer
The majority of students at Winona State are here to do the best they can and work extremely hard to accomplish their goals.
Rachel
On a daily basis I have many classmates who are friendly and always willing to talk.

Well, I graduated in 2004, but at that time there were significantly more girls than boys on campus. I'm sure that hasn't changed too drastically. In true midwest fashion, the student body is a bunch of friendly faces. A small school in a small town - you really get to know a lot of other students from campus life and the social scene off school property.
Leisha
Fun and interesting with equal focus on class and activities outside of class.
Megan
Smart, hardworking, friendly individuals who work as well in groups as they do alone.
