Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must plan to attend Columbia College of Missouri.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  4. Must be an incoming freshman.
  5. Must enroll as a full-time student.
  6. Must demonstrate leadership in high school and/or community activities.
  7. Must attend college or university in Missouri.

Description: This award is for U.S. high school seniors who are planning to attend Columbia College of Missouri. The student must demonstrate leadership in high school and/or community activities.

Additional Information: This award is only available to full-time undergraduate Day Campus students. Institutional scholarships apply to tuition only; combinations of scholarships and external assistance cannot exceed tuition or apply to other charges unless otherwise specified. Detailed information regarding terms and conditions of scholarships and renewal criteria is available in the "Scholarships, Awards, and Grants" section of the appropriate academic catalog for the student's status.

Award Amount: Up to $1,500 annually, renewable for three additional years with participation in leadership evelopment activities (including involvement in a minimum of two campus organizations).  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $6,000.

Scholarship information is available on the Columbia College of Missouri website. To be considered for a scholarship, new students should submit a resume to the Office of Admissions using the contact information listed. Applications for the Leadership Institute must be received no later than the deadline date.
