Number of Awards & Eligibility: Twelve awards offered annually, one to a student from each Loudoun County public high school.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a resident of Loudoun County in Virginia.
  3. Must be attending one of the twelve Loudoun County public high schools.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  5. Must be a high school senior to apply for this freshman year award.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: High school seniors who are residents of Loudoun County in Virginia and are attending public high schools in that county are eligible for this award.

Additional Information: The sole basis for consideration is a student's exemplification of good citizenship in his/her school, community and family life. All applicants must be planning to attend some form of additional education from a recognized institution (i.e. four-year college, junior or community college, trade school, etc.). This award is not based on academic merit or financial need.

Award Amount: $1,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,500.

The application deadline date has not yet been finalized for this year, but is expected to remain the same as last year. The deadline date shown here is tentative based on last year's date. Please check back in late January for a refreshed application deadline date. Applications are available online from the Dulles Greenway website by clicking the 'Scholarships and sponsorships' link underneath the 'Community Service' tab and through the guidance office of each high school. In addition to the completed application, each student must submit short answer responses to the questions posed on page two of the application, and two letters of recommendation (attached to each recommendation form) from his/her current or previous high school teachers. Completed applications and recommendation letters must be submitted to each student's guidance department and received by the deadline date.
