Marriott International Scholarships

At the International Career Development Conference (ICDC), DECA grants more than $300,000 through its large corporate scholarship program. Funded by a Maryland-based lodging giant with 5,700+ properties, five Marriott International Scholarships are presented for $2,000. Eligible DECA members must be enrolling as full-time undergrads at accredited colleges for hospitality and hotel management majors with a minimum overall 3.0 GPA. Other options include the Otis Spunkmeyer and NAPA Auto Parts Scholarships.

Microsoft Imagine Cup Scholarship

The Imagine Cup Games Competition is a global contest for the best new student games and the winning team will take home $50,000 (US). Create a desktop or tablet game using Windows, or a mobile game using Windows Phone, or a browser game using Windows Azure and you could win big at the Imagine Cup World Finals in Seattle. Many of our competitions are intended for teams, so you may also need to create a team to participate. If a competition requires a team, you'll be able to pick your team right on the Submission page. If you don't have a team yet, you can create one in just a few moments - you just need a team name and team country, and you're ready to go. This competition is intended for a team of experienced coders. As part of this competition, you'll submit a complete piece of software, usable by our judges, as well as supporting documentation.

Leadership Scholarship

True Inspiration Scholarship

Are you a Chick-fil-A employee wanting to pursue higher education? If so, consider applying for the Remarkable Futures Scholarships! The scholarship is open to Chick-fil-A team members who want to receive their degrees from any postsecondary institution. These include two- and four-year institutions, online programs, and vocational/technical schools. The scholarship initiative is offered by Chick-Fil-A, one of the largest American fast-food restaurant chains. The scholarship looks to help employees pursue their desired education and help them achieve their long-term goals. The Remarkable Futures Scholarship initiative offers two scholarships: the True Inspiration Scholarship worth $25,000 and the Leadership Scholarship worth up to $2,500. Community Scholarship Program

This year marks the 37th year of the BP Community Scholarship Program serving the New York and northern New Jersey area. Since its inception, the program has awarded over $3.6 million and nearly 2,200 scholarships benefiting promising students. Each year our scholarship awardees are honored at a scholarship reception. This annual event provides an opportunity to recognize the scholarship awardees along with their families and also provides an opportunity for our students to meet BP representatives and other invited dignitaries. BP is pleased to support this initiative as a way of giving back to the communities in which we operate by encouraging local high school seniors to pursue their dreams of going to college.

TMCF McDonald’s Black and Positively Golden Scholarship

The TMCF McDonald’s Black and Positively Golden Scholarship is an incredible opportunity for exceptional students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). With up to 63 (sixty-three) $15,000 scholarships available for the upcoming academic year, this scholarship can help cover verifiable costs associated with tuition and fees for motivated students. To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior at an HBCU. Quad Fellowship

The Quad Fellowship was established in September 2021 by Australia, India, Japan and the United States to strengthen ties among the next generation of scientists and technologists. The Fellowship will sponsor 100 American, Japanese, Australian, and Indian master’s and doctoral students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) to study in the United States. Schmidt Futures will administer the fellowship with the help of a non-governmental task-force composed of academic, foreign policy and private sector leaders from each Quad country.

Boren Fellowship

The Boren Awards for International Study were established by the National Security Education Act of 1991 in honor of Senator David L. Boren of Oklahoma to increase the number of students in languages, fields of study and world regions critical to U.S. security. Boren Fellowships provide unique funding opportunities for U.S. graduate students to study less commonly taught languages in world regions critical to U.S. interests, and underrepresented in study abroad, including Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East. The countries of Western Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand are excluded. The fellowships encourage graduate students to pursue specialization in area and language study or to add an important international dimension to their education. Blakemore Freeman Fellowships

The Blakemore Foundation was established in 1990 by Thomas and Frances Blakemore to encourage the advanced study of Asian languages and to improve the understanding of Asian fine arts in the United States. The Blakemore Foundation offers fellowships to fund a year of advanced language abroad to college graduates using East or Southeast Asian language in their careers. The Blakemore Freeman Fellowships are awarded for one year of advanced level language study in East or Southeast Asia in approved language programs.
