This award is available for current juniors and seniors attending one of the following universities: California State University, East Bay; San Francisco State University; San Jose State University; Sonoma State University or University of California, Berkeley. The applicant must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and be majoring in social sciences, human services, health-related fields or public service.

This scholarship is open to incoming and current female undergraduate students who reside in the Connecticut Community Foundation's 21-town service area. A Voice for Animals High School Essay Contest

This award is available for high school students in Alameda, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara Counties who are under the age of 19. Students must submit an original essay accompanied by photographs, create a Blog/Facebook page, or create an original video that examines either the mistreatment of one animal species or one cause of animal suffering, occurring anywhere in the world, and possible measures to reduce it.
