Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a college junior or senior at the time of application.
  3. Must be self-identify as transgender.
  4. Must be a resident of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington state.
  5. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  6. Must be a woman.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for a transgender student in his or her senior year of college. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, and must be a resident of one of the following states: Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington.

Additional Information: Recognizing the tremendous financial need of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) students, as well as straight ally students in the region, Pride Foundation began its scholarship program to help develop tomorrow's leaders that work for social justice. Since 1993 the foundation has helped more than 550 students achieve their educational goals. The applicant will be notified by early April confirming whether she has been selected for the interview stage of the scholarship process (students who have not been selected will also be notified). Final selection of scholarship recipients will be made in early May.

Award Amount: $500 to $5,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.
