Accounting Scholarships 2025 List

AICPA John L. Carey Scholarship

This award is open to U.S. students who have been accepted into a graduate program in accounting that will allow students to sit for the CPA exam. Students must have obtained a liberal arts (i.e., non-business) undergraduate degree prior to entering the graduate program.

U.S. undergraduate and graduate students who are members of an underrepresented ethnic minority group and are enrolled in an accounting-related program are eligible for this award. Students must have an overall and major grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Laurels Fund Scholarship

This scholarship is available for U.S. women who are pursuing a Ph.D. in accounting. Applicants must have completed comprehensive exams prior to the previous fall semester; financial need and academic achievement will be considered. The fund provides awards of $1,000- $5,000. Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship

This scholarship is for U.S. and international female students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a business-related field. Students must be enrolled in at least the second year of an undergraduate program through the final year of a master’s program at the time the application is submitted.

This award is available for students at a participating public or private, non-profit colleges and universities in Texas, including junior/community colleges, who have completed at least 120 credit hours in an accounting program but have not yet taken the Certified Public Accountant exam. This scholarship is available for U.S. students who are attending Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ). Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, and must be majoring in pre-law, business, or transportation.

This scholarship is available for U.S. and Canadian graduate students who are pursuing a career in state and/or local government finance. This scholarship is available for U.S. and Canadian undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled in an accounting program preparing for a career in state and local government finance. Undergraduate students must be in the process of completing at least their junior year by the time the scholarship is awarded.

GFOA Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship

This scholarship is available for U.S. or Canadian college juniors, seniors, and graduate students who belong to one of the following groups (as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau): Black or African American, Asian, Hispanic or Latino, American Indian or Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, or a Pacific Islander. Students must be majoring in public administration, (governmental) accounting, finance, political science, economics or business administration (with a specific focus on government or non-profit management).
