Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher. Applicants with lower grade point averages may be considered if they have otherwise outstanding qualifications or extenuating circumstances.
  3. Must major or minor in business and/or marketing.
  4. Must intend to apply his/her education to a horticulture-related career business.
  5. Must be a college sophomore, junior, or senior, or a graduate student.
  6. Must be a citizen or resident of the U.S. or Canada OR be enrolled in an accredited educational institution in the U.S. or Canada.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for U.S. and Canadian students who are majoring or minoring in business or marketing with the intent to apply their education to a horticulture-related career business. Applicants must have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher.

Application requirements for the Harold Bettinger Memorial Scholarship are:

Additional Information: Harold Bettinger was a partner in Bettinger Farms of Swanton, Ohio. In the mid-50s, he was one of the first progressive growers to convert his bedding plant production from wooden to plastic flats. Bettinger Farms now grows greenhouse and field vegetables. Each student who has won a scholarship will be sent a notification letter by U.S. mail. Scholarship decisions will be made by August of each year.

Award Amount: $2,000 annually, non-renewable. All scholarships are provided as cash awards with checks issued jointly in the name of the recipient and the college or institution he/she will be attending in the fall.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.
