In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must reside in Knox County, Tennessee.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  3. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  4. Must plan to major in business.
  5. This award is for U.S. students.
  6. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for residents of Knox County, TN who are majoring in business at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate unmet financial need.

Additional Information: This scholarship was established in 1997 by the Knoxville Business Association to benefit students pursuing a business-related degree from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Preference will be given to applicants who are planning to work in the Knoxville area following graduation. Factors to be considered by the selection committee will be: financial need; general aptitude for advanced educational work; evidence of participation in and service to the community; and the maturity and professionalism of the student, in that order of importance. The selection committee reserves the right to conduct brief interviews with finalists.

Award Amount: $1,500 first year; $2,000 second year; $2,500 third year; $3,000 fourth year  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $9,000.
