Number of Awards & Eligibility: Up to three awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must reside in and attend a high school in Dallas, Tarrant, Collin or Denton counties in Texas.
  2. Must plan to major in business or marketing.
  3. Must be a high school senior or undergraduate student at the time of application.
  4. This award is for U.S. students.
  5. Must have a grade point average of 2.75 or higher.
  6. Must have an SAT score of 1090 or higher OR an ACT score of 22 or higher.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The Sylvan Landau Scholarship is available for Dallas-area high school seniors and undergraduate students who plan to major in business or marketing. Applicants must demonstrate academic achievement and unmet financial need.

Additional Information: Selection of scholarship recipients for the Sylvan Landau Scholarship will be based on financial need, academic performance, and involvement within the shool and community. The Communities Foundation of Texas has been a partner with local individuals, families and businesses for raising the quality of life in the Texas community since 1953. Providing scholarships to deserving students is an important part of this mission, in the hopes that financial assistance will help these students to reach their full potential in high schools, colleges and continuing education across the country.

Award Amount: Up to $5,000 per student provided as a one-time award.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.
