Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually based on the number of qualified applicants.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be an undergraduate or graduate student.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  3. Must be majoring in marketing, law, or travel industry management.
  4. This award is for U.S. students.
  5. Must enroll full time.
  6. Must be a resident of Hawaii.

Description: The Bick Bickson Scholarship Fund is available for Hawaii residents who are majoring in marketing, law, or travel industry management. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and unmet financial need.

Additional Information: The Hawai'i Community Foundation scholarship program consists of more than 85 different funds established by private foundations, generous individuals, businesses and organizations. In previous years, the HCF awarded more than $3 million in scholarship grants to 1,200 Hawai'i students.

Award Amount: The award amount varies annually.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Online application forms are available on the Hawai'i Community Foundation website. The student should visit the provider's website for detailed instructions on how to complete the online application. In addition to the online application form, the student must submit the following supporting materials: the printed confirmation page that is generated after applying online; a typed, double-spaced personal statement of two to three pages answering the questions listed at the provider's website; an official copy of his/her most recent transcript; and a copy of his/her SAR (Student Aid Report). The SAR is obtained by filing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The FAFSA is available online, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. Please note that for this scholarship, the student's personal statement must include answers to the questions listed on the provider's website. A student will not be able to submit his/her application until all required supporting documents are electronically attached to the application. Applications must be submitted by 4 p.m. HST on the deadline date.
