Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a resident of Vermont.
  3. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  5. Must seek a degree in business or education.
  6. Must be an incoming or current undergraduate student.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for Vermont undergraduate students who are seeking a degree in business or education. Students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and demonstrate financial need.

Additional Information: This scholarship was established in 1996 in memory of Philip and Alice Angell, both of whom were active in the Vermont Order of Eastern Star (OES) for more than 50 years. Applicants must attend an accredited postsecondary school approved for federal Title IV funding, and must demonstrate financial need. Selection is based on academic achievement, financial need, and application documents. There are approximately 180 applicants for this award each year.

Award Amount: $500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.
