Number of Awards & Eligibility: Up to three awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must pursue a career in the technical aspects of broadcasting. The scholarship is typically presented to applicants who have some work experience in broadcast engineering.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  4. Must be an undergraduate or graduate student to apply for this award.

Description: This award is for U.S. undergraduate and graduate students who plan to pursue a career in the technical aspects of broadcasting. Preference will be given to applicants who are members of the Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) and/or are employed at least part-time in broadcast engineering.

Additional Information: Each year, the Ennes Educational Foundation Trust offers up to three scholarships to deserving candidates who aspire to a career in the technical aspects of broadcasting. Preference will be given to applicants who are members of the Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) and/or are employed at least part-time in broadcast engineering; however, any individual otherwise eligible is encouraged to apply. Announcement of the recipients will be made by July, with grants available for the fall semester of the same year. At the end of the award term, the recipient must submit a technical paper of 400 to 500 words on a broadcast-engineering topic of his/her choice for potential use in an SBE publication.

Award Amount: $1,500 annually, non-renewable and depending on the availability of funds. Scholarship awards may be used for tuition, room and board, or textbook costs at postsecondary educational institutions, or for other technical training programs approved by the scholarship committee. Applicants are limited to one scholarship award per year.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $4,500.
