Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually. In prior years, there were two scholarships awarded.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a current undergraduate student enrolled in a degree-granting institution.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  5. Must major in hospitality management or hotel/motel management.
  6. Must be a traditionally underrepresented group.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Additional Information: Marriott International has partnered with Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation, Inc. to grant scholarships. The scholarships are offered to students from traditionally underrepresented groups who are interested in careers in hospitality.

Award Amount: The award amount varies annually. Last year, a total of $20,000 was given through this program.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $10,000.
