Number of Awards & Eligibility: An average of two awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
  3. Must be an incoming or current certificate, undergraduate, or graduate student.
  4. Must be a resident of Vermont.
  5. Must demonstrate academic achievement.
  6. Must seek education or training related to hospitality or tourism.

Additional Information: This scholarship was created in honor of Ted Bridges, a consistent and active contributor to the success of Vermont's tourism and hospitality businesses for more than four decades. Applicants must attend an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding, and must demonstrate financial need. Selection is based on application documents, financial need, and academic achievement. There are approximately 40 applicants for this award every year.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.
