Number of Awards & Eligibility: There will be one winning essay each year.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a legal resident of the 50 United States or Washington D.C.
  2. Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of application.
  3. Must be currently enrolled, or will be enrolled no later than the fall of 2021.
  4. Must be going to in an accredited college, university, or trade school and also have declared a major in a cyber security program.

Description: The Cybersecurity Scholarship is available for students seeking to get into the cyber security field. Cyber-Security.Degree is owned by EducationDynamics, a privately held corporation that operates an education and media online business. The website helps students find cybersecurity degrees by matching them with schools and programs.

Application requirements for the Cybersecurity Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Application form
  • Personal statement.
Additional Information: This contest is open only to those legal residents of the 50 United States and DC who are 18 years of age or older at the time of application. And, who are currently enrolled, or will be enrolled no later than the fall of 2021. Students must be going to in an accredited college, university, or trade school. Students must also have declared a major in a cyber security program. Winning essays will be posted on their site. A winner will submit a well written essay. The essay must clearly and creatively address the essay topic. Judging is based on: Writing ability: 25% Creativity: 25% Originality: 25% Overall excellence: 25%.

Award Amount: The winner will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship to help fund their college education.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applicants apply by first completing a short entry form on the provider website. Then they must write a compelling essay that explains why they are studying cybersecurity. All submissions must be received online by the deadline date.
