Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two scholarships are awarded.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a graduating high school senior.
  2. Must provide reasonable evidence to Cisco that you are seeking a degree in computer science, information technology, computer networking, cyber security or related field of study.

Description: The Snort Scholarship is available for graduating high school seniors who plan on seeking a degree in computer science, information technology, computer networking, cyber security, or a related field of study. Snort is an affiliate of Cisco a provider of security software products.

Application requirements for the Snort Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Recommendation letter
  • Application form
  • Personal statement
  • Official Transcript
Additional Information: Snort is an affiliate of Cisco a provider of security software products. Snort scholarships help offset the tuition costs. Company Personnel and their immediate family members are ineligible for an Award. Within about one (1) week after the Drawing, Cisco will try to notify the potential Awardees, by email or by U.S. mail.

Award Amount: The Snort Scholarship is an award of $10,000 (USD) that can only be used for the Awardee’s academic tuition at a qualified organization during the upcoming academic year. Cisco pays the institution directly on behalf of the winner.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $10,000.
