Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be a full-time student attending an accredited college or university in the United States during the upcoming academic school year.
  3. Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at time of application. High school seniors are not eligible to apply.
  4. Must have the intention to enter the game industry in some capacity.
  5. Must have a grade point average of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Application requirements for the Dr. Randy Pausch Scholarship are:

  • Recommendation letters (2)
  • Application form
  • Personal statement
  • Official Transcript
  • Enrollment verification
Additional Information: Students will be evaluated based on the following: the completed application; required documentation; eligibility requirements; and weighted criteria (weights in service, leadership, character, and financial need). Scholarship recipients will be announced in July. Please note: Scholarship recipients must be able to provide documentation showing the deposit of scholarship funds to his/her educational institution as well as a transcript for the academic year in which funds are given. If unable to do so, the student forfeits the scholarship and must return the funds within six weeks of written notice.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually, non-renewable. Please note: Scholarship recipients may not reapply.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.
