Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually. One will be provided to a male student and one will be provided to a female student.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must attend Carmel High School, Marina High School, Monterey High School, Pacific Grove High School, Seaside High School, Stevenson School, Santa Catalina School, Trinity Christian High School, and York School.
  2. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  3. This award is for U.S. students.
  4. Must be majoring in art, science, or a healthcare related field.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The Dr. Roger and Kate Bartels Memorial Scholarship is available for graduating seniors from Carmel High School, Marina High School, Monterey High School, Pacific Grove High School, Seaside High School, Stevenson School, Santa Catalina School, Trinity Christian High School, and York School. Applicants must plan to major in healthcare, science, or the arts.

Additional Information: The Dr. Roger and Kate Bartels Memorial Scholarship is provided annually to two Monterey area students who attend one of the following local schools: Carmel High School, Marina High School, Monterey High School, Pacific Grove High School, Seaside High School, Stevenson School, Santa Catalina School, Trinity Christian High School, and York School. Applicants must plan to major in science, art, or a healthcare related field. The Community Foundation for Monterey County is home to more than 45 named scholarship funds, all designed to assist students in the local community who are pursuing higher education. Each year, more than 125 individual scholarships are awarded through these funds to a variety of students of diverse backgrounds, interests, and career goals.

Award Amount: $500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
