Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of Scholarships varies.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  2. Must be currently enrolled in and have completed a minimum of one quarter or semester at a college-level medical assisting program accredited by CAAHEP.
  3. Must be enrolled in a medical assisting program.

Additional Information: The American Association of Medical Assistants Endowment is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation. It provides funding for medical assisting education. And awards scholarships to deserving students in medical assisting education programs. he Maxine Williams Scholarship Fund provides educational assistance to deserving medical assisting students. Named after Maxine Williams, a founder of the American Association of Medical Assistants and its first president, the program was set up in 1959. The fund is supported entirely by private contributions. The AAMA Endowment assumes administrative costs of the fund as a service to the public and to the medical and medical assisting professions.

Award Amount: The winner of the Maxine Williams Scholarship Fund will receive $1,000 each.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
