In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be an incoming first-year college students who have graduated high school or are in possession of a GED.

Description: The Defending Yourself Scholarship is available to any student currently enrolled in an accredited community college, undergraduate or graduate program in the United States. This includes incoming first-year college students who have graduated high school or are in possession of a GED.

Application requirements for the Defending Yourself Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Essay
  • Resume with contact information and relevant education
  • professional and/or volunteer experience.
Additional Information: Scott Pryor Law is excited to share the Defending Yourself Scholarship, specifically designed to allow students to share a time when they needed to defend themselves. A student who best tells their story will be awarded a $2,000 scholarship.

Award Amount: The winner of the Defending Yourself Scholarship will receive $2,000, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.
