Number of Awards & Eligibility: 10 awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be enrolled in an aviation program.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  4. Must be of junior class standing or higher.
  5. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Description: This award is for U.S. undergraduate juniors and seniors enrolled in an aviation program. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Application requirements for the AAAE Foundation Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Transcript
  • Recommendation letter
  • Personal statement
Additional Information: Eligibility for this scholarship is unrelated to membership in AAAE. The following selection criteria are used: academic records, financial need, participation in school and community activities, work experience, and a personal statement. Recipients will be required to submit three wallet-size photos upon notification.

Award Amount: Awards are given as follows: five $1,500 scholarships; two $1,000 scholarships; and one $500 scholarship. All awards are non-renewable. Scholarship recipients also receive a complimentary registration and recognition at the AAAE Annual Conference & Exposition or the F. Russell Hoyt National Airports Conference.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
