Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a graduate or professional student at the time of application.
  2. Must be a resident of Maryland.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 2.8 or higher.
  5. Must be majoring in economics or health policy.
  6. This award is for U.S. students.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for graduate students in Maryland who are majoring in economics or health policy. Applicants must have a grade point average of 2.8 or higher to be competitive during the selection process.

Additional Information: This scholarship is funded by Carefirst and provided in memory of Hal Cohen. Eligibility is limited to graduate and professional students who are pursuing a degree in economics or healthcare policy. This a competitive program; not all applicants will be selected as recipients. All decisions of Central Scholarship Bureau and the Grant Committees are final.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.
