Number of Awards & Eligibility: 10 awards offered annually
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a full-time student.
  2. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
  3. Must be planning to pursue a degree in a field that will lead to a career in the performing arts.
  4. This award is for U.S. students.
  5. Must exhibit leadership ability and participate in community service activities.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is for U.S. undergraduate and graduate students who are or will be attending an accredited college or university full-time. Applicants must have a 2.5 GPA and be planning to or currently pursuing a degree leading to a career in the performing arts.

Additional Information: Established in the year 2000, the CBC Spouses USA Performing Arts Scholarship program was developed in honor of the late Curtis Mayfield to ensure that students pursuing a career in the performing arts receive the financial assistance to achieve their goals. Preference will be given to applicants who are CBC member constituents.

Award Amount: Up to $3000 per award, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,000.
