Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be a graduate student. Please note: If no qualified graduate students apply, undergraduate students will be considered.
  3. Must be enrolled full time.
  4. Must be pursuing a degree in polymer science, composites, plastics, or a related engineering discipline.
  5. Preference will be given to female students, but the best candidates will be selected.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. and international graduate students who are pursuing a degree in polymer science, composites, plastics, or a related engineering discipline with a research focus on ground transportation composite technology. Preference will be given to female students but the best candidates will be selected.

Additional Information: Applicants must be in good academic standing with their schools. Financial need of applicants will be considered for most scholarships. All scholarships will be paid directly to the recipients' schools. The SPE Foundation will not award scholarships to applicants who are not qualified and reserves the right to not award a scholarship in a given year if it so chooses.

Award Amount: $5,000 annually, non-renewable. Please note: If there are no qualified graduate students, the award will be given to undergraduate students and reduced to $2,500 each.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.
