Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of scholarships provided annually depends on the number of qualified applicants.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
  3. Must be majoring in chiropractic studies.
  4. Must attend the Southern California University Health Sciences.
  5. Must be a graduating high school senior or first time undergraduate student.
  6. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  7. This award is for U.S. students.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The Dr. James W. Fitches Fellowship is available for first-time students at the Southern California University of Health Sciences. Applicants must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher and must be members of the Church of Latter Day Saints.

Additional Information: SCU recognizes students for the exemplary accomplishments in their undergraduate studies prior to their enrollment. Therefore, scholarships are offered to students who demonstrate high academic standards and/or financial need. The Dr. James W. Fitches Fellowship is specifically provided for students who are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Award Amount: $1,000 available upon admission to SCU.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
