Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a current undergraduate student.
  4. Must be registered as a member of a federal or state recognized tribe, OR be a descendant of at least one grandparent or parent who is an enrolled tribal member. (Alaska Natives may use Native Corporation membership.)
  5. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
  6. Must be enrolled full time.
  7. Must attend Ilisagvik College in Alaska or Northwest Indian College in Washington.
  8. Must major in natural resource management, environmental studies, public health, economic development, or social sciences.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. undergraduate students of American Indian or Alaskan Native descent who are enrolled at Ilisagvik College in Alaska or Northwest Indian College in Washington are eligible for this award. Students must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher, and major in natural resource management, environmental studies, public health, economic development, or social sciences.

Application requirements for the Ecotrust Native American Scholarship – Tribal College Students are:

  • Transcript
Additional Information: An eligible applicant must demonstrate leadership and financial need. The American Indian College Fund determines student eligibility and awards the scholarships. Award and denial notices will be mailed out to all applicants by August each year to the address listed on the application.

Award Amount: $3,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,000.
