Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a high school graduate or older to apply for this undergraduate award.
  4. Must pursue a bachelors degree in welding engineering or welding engineering technology. Priority will be given to welding engineering students.
  5. Must be 18 years of age or older at time of application.
  6. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
  7. Must enroll full or part time.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for U.S. undergraduate students who are 18 years of age or older and are pursuing a career in welding engineering. Students must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher and be able to prove financial need.

Application requirements for the Edward J. Brady Scholarship are:

  • Financial need statement
  • FAFSA
Additional Information: Proof of financial need is required to qualify for this award. Please note: The applicant does not have to be a member of the AWS, but it is preferred.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually, non-renewable; however, applicants who have already received this award may reapply and may be granted the award for a maximum of four years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.
