In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must attend Collin College, in Collin County, Texas or Tarrant County College.
  2. Must major in hospitality and food service management, hotel restaurant management, or pastry arts.
  3. This award is for U.S. students.
  4. Must be an undergraduate student at the time of application.

Description: This award is available for female students at Collin College, in Collin County, Texas or Tarrant County College who are majoring in hospitality and food service management, hotel restaurant management or pastry arts. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Additional Information: The Les Dames d'Escoffier Charitable Distribution Fund is available for students in eligible counties who are pursuing a degree related to one of the following fields: hospitality and food service management, hotel restaurant management, pastry arts, culinary arts, nutritional science, oenology (science and study of wine), viticulture (agriculture of vine growing and grape harvesting), agronomy, or food science. Related fields may also be eligible, but must be approved by the award provider. The Communities Foundation of Texas has been a partner with local individuals, families and businesses for raising the quality of life in the Texas community since 1953. Providing scholarships to deserving students is an important part of this mission, in the hopes that financial assistance will help these students to reach their full potential in high schools, colleges and continuing education across the country.

Award Amount: The amount varies annually, depending on the amount of available funding.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
