Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be registered as a member of a federal or state recognized tribe, OR be a descendant of at least one grandparent or parent who is an enrolled tribal member. (Alaska Natives may use Native Corporation membership.)
  4. Must be enrolled full time.
  5. Must be a current college sophomore, junior, or senior. Preference is given to juniors and seniors.
  6. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  7. Must be a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Florida, Minnesota, or Texas.
  8. Must attend one of the following tribal colleges: Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College, Leech Lake Tribal College, White Earth Tribal and Community College, Northwest Indian College, or Haskell Indian Nations University.
  9. Must be majoring in business, accounting, computer science, computer technology, engineering, mathematics, and/or a related field.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. college sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are of American Indian or Alaskan Native descent, attend selected tribal institutions, and are residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Florida, Minnesota, or Texas. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and demonstrated financial need, and must major in business, accounting, computer science, computer technology, engineering, mathematics, and/or a related field.

Additional Information: Applicants must have demonstrated financial need and a commitment to community and leadership development. The American Indian College Fund determines student eligibility and awards the scholarships. Award and denial notices will be mailed out to all applicants by August each year to the address listed on the application.

Award Amount: $4,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $4,000.
