Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must attend the University of Texas at Austin.
  2. Must be of Hispanic heritage.
  3. Must be an undergraduate or graduate student at the time of application.
  4. Must be majoring in a medical field.
  5. This award is for U.S. and international students.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for Hispanic students at the University of Texas at Austin who are majoring in a medical or premedical field. Preference will be given to students who are active in the Hispanic Physician's Association Preceptorship Program.

Additional Information: The Hispanic Scholarship Consortium provides scholarships to Central Texas Hispanic students and offers a network of support that mentors and empowers scholars to graduate from college as workforce-ready leaders who are empowered and engaged in the community. In partnership with Hispanic Physician’s Association, a group of physicians who promote and support the health of Hispanic communities, this scholarship is provided each year to a deserving Hispanic student attending the University of Texas at Austin and studying pre-med. Applicants involved in the Hispanic Physician's Association Preceptorship Program are strongly preferred.

Award Amount: $2,000 annually, renewable for up to three additional years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.
