Although many famous actors and actresses have lucrative careers — making millions of dollars per movie — not everyone who pursues a career in acting or theatre has such monumental success. In fact, many graduates with a BFA in theatre have to continue to work hard to develop their skills, land a job, and continue a career in a very competitive market. That same determination is true for those looking to study theatre in school. While a theatre career can be very rewarding, it can also be extremely expensive! Graduating high school seniors or current undergraduate college students who are residents of Glynn County in Georgia are eligible to apply for this award. Studens must have a strong background and/or course of study in the arts and humanities.
This scholarship is open to U.S. undergraduate and graduate students of American Indian or Native Alaskan descent who have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Students must be interested in a career in media, either in front of or behind the camera; major preferences are journalism, media, broadcasting, entertainment, film, and telecom.
This scholarship is available for U.S. and international high school seniors who plan to attend the University of Richmond. Students must display extraordinary artistic talent and plan to major or minor in the visual or performing arts.
U.S. graduating high school seniors who plan to attend DePaul University and major in acting are considered for this award upon completing an audition after admission.
This scholarship is available for high school seniors in Pinellas County, Florida who demonstrate an interest in art. Applicants must be the son or daughter of a classroom teacher, and must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
This scholarship is open to U.S. undergraduate students who are majoring in the arts/sciences, human services, music, or ministry. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to applicants from Missouri, Mississippi, Georgia, Illinois, Oklahoma, Texas, and Tennessee.
This scholarship is open to U.S. students who plan to enroll at Missouri State University as freshmen. Students must have a class rank in the top 50 percent or a grade point average of 3.0 or higher AND an ACT score of 20 or higher or an SAT score of 1030 or higher. Students must also excel in three of the following areas: leadership; volunteerism; performing arts; athletics.
