In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a Korean American student.
  3. Must be a full-time student.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  5. Must be a resident of one of the southwestern states as designated by KASF. The eligible states are Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas.
  6. Must attend a college/university in one of the southwestern states as designated by KASF. The eligible states are Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas.
  7. Must be a high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate and graduate award.
  8. Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for Korean-American students who are residing in or attending school in one of the following states: Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Additional Information: Recipients are selected on the basis of financial need, academic achievement, school activities, and community services.

Award Amount: The monetary award amount varies annually. The award amount is dependent on the availability of funds and from which region the applicant is applying. In the past, awards have ranged from $500 to $5,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.
