Resources for the Education of Adults in the Chicago Area (REACh)

Number of Awards & Eligibility: Up to five awards offered annually.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for U.S. undergraduate and graduate students who are 25 years of age or older and reside in the greater Chicagoland area. Students must be enrolled in or admitted to a degree or certificate program at a college or university that is a member of the REACh organization and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Application requirements for the ‘REACh Your Goals’ Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Essay
  • Official Transcript
  • Recommendation letter
  • Proof/acceptance
Additional Information: This program is designed to assist the growing number of adult learners who are returning to college. Applicants must be eligible to receive the REACh Scholarship according to their institutions' financial aid guidelines. Recipients of the "REACh Your Goals" Scholarship Program will be informed in writing by May 15 and will be invited to attend REACh's annual conference and awards presentation to be held in June.

Award Amount: $2,000 annually, non-renewable. The award payment will be made to the applicant institution's office of financial aid in August.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.
