Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be a college sophomore, junior, or senior, or a graduate student. The student must be in a position to accept the scholarship for the school year in which it is being awarded.
  3. Must major in engineering (any field) or computer science.
  4. Must attend a college/university in Indiana.
  5. Must be a female.
  6. Must be enrolled full time.
  7. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is open to female college sophomores, juniors, and seniors, and graduate students who are majoring in engineering or computer science at an Indiana college/university. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher; students with financial need are given preference.

Application requirements for the SWE Central Indiana Section Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Resume
  • Recommendation letters (2)
Additional Information: Students with financial need are given preference. Applicants may not be current recipients of a renewable SWE scholarship or receiving full funding for education from another organization (such as members of the armed services attending US military academies and students receiving full reimbursement from an employer.) The applicant must enroll or plan to enroll in an engineering program accredited by ABET. Accreditation status for degree programs at specific schools can be found at main.abet.org/aps/Accreditedprogramsearch.aspx.

Award Amount: $2,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.
