Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards provided varies annually, depending on the availability of funding and the number of qualified students who apply.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must attend a college or university in Kansas City or Scandinavia.
  2. Must be a Scandinavian student studying in Kansas City, or a student from Kansas City planning to study in Scandinavia.
  3. Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at the time of application.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  5. This award is for U.S. and international students.

Additional Information: The Harley and Geneva Anderson Memorial Scholarship Fund is provided annually for Kansas Cirty area undergraduate students who are planning to study in a Scandinavian Country, as well as students from Scandinavian Countries who are planning to study in the Greater Kansas City metro area. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, must be in good academic standing, and must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. This scholarship is managed and administered through the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, a local area charity founded in 1978 with the mission of providing assistance and centralized resources for decentralized charitable causes and giving. Award Amount: Award amounts vary depending on the availability of funding and the selected recipients' financial need. A minimum of $1,000 will be provided to each recipient. Funds will be paid out in equal installments during the fall and spring semester and may be used for educational expenses such as tuition, room and board, books, and other academic fees.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
