Rebecca Kirtman Memorial Scholarship Fund (Becca's Closet)

Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two or more awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident.
  3. Must be a graduating high school senior.
  4. Must enroll full time in an accredited college, university or vocational school in the United States in the fall.
  5. Must have an unweighted grade point average of 2.0 or higher.
  6. Must have made an outstanding, documented contribution to his/her local community through the creation of or involvement in a Becca's Closet chapter or Becca's Closet supporting organization.
  7. Must reside near a volunteer led Becca's Closet chapter located in communities throughout the United States.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. high school seniors who have been involved with Becca's Closet are eligible to apply for this award. Students must enroll full time and have an unweighted grade point average of 2.0 or higher.

Application requirements for the Rebecca Kirtman Memorial Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Recommendation letter
  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
Additional Information: The purpose of these scholarships is to encourage high school students who have demonstrated outstanding community service in high school or college to continue their efforts throughout their lives and to encourage others to do the same.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable. Scholarship money awarded will be sent directly to the recipients' institutions. A previous recipient may reapply.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.
