Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a resident of Allegan, Barry, Ionia, Kent, Montcalm, Muskegon, Newaygo, or Ottawa counties in Michigan.
  2. Must be an undergraduate or graduate student at the time of application.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  4. Must demonstrate unmet financial need.
  5. Must attend Michigan State University.
  6. This award is for U.S. students.
  7. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Applicants must be enrolled at the University of Michigan, have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, and demonstrate unmet financial need.

Additional Information: The Grand Rapids Community Foundation awards hundreds of scholarships annually, primarily to Kent County students bound for or in college, or those pursuing a technical career. This scholarship, provided by the University of Michigan Alumnae Association, is provided each year to a female undergraduate or graduate student attending the University of Michigan.

Award Amount: Awards range from $500 to $5,000 depending on the student's unmet need and the availability of funds. Average awards are about $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
