Number of Awards & Eligibility: Varies based on the number of eligible applicants and the amount of available funding.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be a resident of Missouri.
  4. Must enroll full time.
  5. Must attend a Missouri college or university.
  6. Must not pursue a degree or certificate in theology or divinity.
  7. Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program.
  8. Must have an EFC of $12,000 or less, as determined by completing the FAFSA.

Description: This award is available to Missouri resident undergraduate students who are enrolled full-time at a Missouri college or university. Students must demonstrate financial need and have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $12,000 or less.

Additional Information: The Access Missouri Financial Assistance Program is a state program, administered through the Missouri Department of Higher Education, established to provide financial assistance to undergraduate student enrolled full-time at a participating Missouri school. The award is based on the financial need of the student. Final eligibility is determined by the participating insitution based on the students Expected Family Contribution. Eligible students must have an EFC of $12,000 or less. The EFC is calculated by the U.S. Department of Education using information provided on the FAFSA. Students should contact his/her school or the MDHE for additional details regarding his/her eligibility status. Award Amount: Award amounts may vary based on the student's EFC and the type of school the student plans to attend. Awards ranges from $300 and up to $4,600 annually, renewable for up to four additional years, or until the completion of a first bachelor's degree, or the completion of 150 semester credit hours, whichever occurs first. Recipients must maintain a grade point average of 2.5 or higher and re-apply each year.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $4,600.
