In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program.
  2. Must be a legal U.S. resident.
  3. Must enroll full-time (12 or more credits per semester).
  4. Must attend an approved postsecondary institution in New York State.
  5. This award is for U.S. students.
  6. Must be the child, spouse, or financial dependent of someone who died as a direct result of the Continental Airlines Flight 3407 crash in Clarence, New York on February 12, 2009.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Additional Information: Flight 3407 Memorial Scholarships provide financial aid to children, spouses and financial dependents of individuals killed as a direct result of the crash of Continental Airlines Flight 3407 in Clarence, New York on February 12, 2009. This program will help families who lost loved ones cover the cost of attending college in New York State. Students must be matriculated in an approved program of study and be in good academic standing and not be in default on a student loan guaranteed by HESC or on any repayment of state awards.

Award Amount: Up to $24,250 if you are living on campus  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $24,250.
