Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to students who reside in the Triangle Area of North Carolina (Durham, Orange, and Wake counties) and plan to attend a North Carolina technical institution. Financial need will be considered in the selection process.

Application requirements for the Assistance League of the Triangle Area Scholarshp – Technical School Students are:

  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Proof of perm. residency (if applic.)
  • FAFSA
  • Recommendation letters (2)
  • Essay
  • Interview (if requested)
Additional Information: The scholarship is based on financial need. The Scholarship Committee may personally interview applicants before the scholarship award decisions are made. The selected applicants will be notified during the first week of May. Please note: Students must submit a postsecondary school student ID number or Social Security number by May 15 so that funds can be released to the school of choice.

Award Amount: $1,000 to $7,500 annually, non-renewable. Previous recipients may reapply.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $7,500.
