Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be currently enrolled at an accredited community college, college, university, or institute of higher education. Current high school students are not eligible.
  4. Must be enrolled full or part time.
  5. Must reside within the North Carolina counties of Wake, Durham, Orange, or Johnston (may attend school outside the area).
  6. Must be in good academic standing (2.5 grade point average or higher).

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. undergraduate and graduate students who reside within the North Carolina counties of Wake, Durham, Orange, or Johnston (may attend school outside the area). Students must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher; male and female students may apply.

Application requirements for the BPW/Raleigh Scholarship Program are:

  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Recommendation letter
  • Essays (2)
  • Interview (if requested)
Additional Information: To be eligible, you must be a woman who: Be currently enrolled (full- or part-time) at an accredited college, university, or institution of higher education. NOTE: Current high school students are not eligible to apply, even if you're taking college courses. Your home address must be in the North Carolina counties of Wake, Durham, Orange, Chatham or Johnston (but you can attend school outside these areas). Be in good academic standing.

Award Amount: $1000  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
