Description: The D. Fred and Marian L. Bovie Scholarship is available for U.S. students who are majoring in welding sciences at Ohio State University. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Click here to learn more and apply today!

Additional Information: This scholarship is provided annually in honor of D. Fred Bovie and his wife, Marian. Mr. Bovie graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in welding engineering, served as an officer in the U.S. military, and established a distinguished career in welding before becoming an essential part of the American Welding Society foundation's leadership. Please note: The applicant does not have to be a member of the AWS, but it is preferred.

Award Amount: $3,000 annually, non-renewable. Previous recipients may re-apply in subsequent years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,000.
