Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be majoring in language, international business or economics, petroleum, geology, history, psychology, or sociology.
  2. Must reside in and attend a high school in Oklahoma.
  3. This award is for U.S. students.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 3.25 or higher.
  5. Must be a graduating high school senior at the time of application.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The Orner-Cook Scholarship is available for graduating high school seniors in Oklahoma who have a grade point average of 3.25 or higher. Preference is given to students majoring in language, international business or economics, petroleum, geology, history, psychology, or sociology.

Additional Information: Founded in 1969, the oklahoma City Community Foundation provides and administers more than 200 scholarships designed to assist local area students with the high and rising costs of a college education. Scholarships will be awarded based on a combination of merit, financial need, and other criteria as it applies to the specific award. This award was established by Robert and Carolyn Cook Orner to assist with the higher education of graduating high school seniors in Oklahoma who demonstrate the highest levels of academic merit. Preference will be given to students who are planning to major in language, international business, international economics, petroleum, geology, history, psychology, or sociology.

Award Amount: $2,500  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.
