Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be a female.
  3. Must enroll full time.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  5. Must be a graduate student. The student must be in a position to accept the scholarship for the school year in which it is being awarded.
  6. Must major in aeronautical/aerospace engineering, manufacturing engineering, materials science & engineering, or mechanical engineering.
  7. Preference is given to students who attend one of the following schools: Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University, University of Virginia, Pennsylvania State University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Purdue University.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to female graduate students who are majoring in aeronautical/aerospace engineering, manufacturing engineering, materials science & engineering, or mechanical engineering. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Preference is given to students attending VA Tech, Univ. of VA, Penn. State, GA Tech, and Purdue Univ.

  • Official Transcript
  • Acceptance letter (if req.)
  • Resume
Additional Information: Availability of the award is dependent upon renewals. Applicants may not be current recipients of a renewable SWE scholarship or receiving full funding for education from another organization (such as members of the armed services attending US military academies and students receiving full reimbursement from an employer). The applicant must enroll or plan to enroll in a program accredited by ABET. Accreditation status for degree programs at specific schools can be found at main.abet.org/aps/Accreditedprogramsearch.aspx.

Award Amount: $1,250 annually, renewable for two years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,250.
