Description: The Roderick C. Heasley Hempfield Area Senior High School Memorial Scholarship is available for graduating seniors at Hempfield Area Senior High School in Greenburg, Pennsylvania. Preference will be given to applicants who are well-rounded and participate in extracurricular school and community activities.

Additional Information: This scholarship was founded to honor the memory of Roderick C. Heasley. The award is provided each year to a graduating senior at Hempfield Area Senior High School in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Preference is given to students who are well rounded, those with current and/or recent work experience, and students who actively participate in school and community groups. The Austin Community Foundation has provided more than $6.5 million in scholarship awards since the scholarship program began in 1996. Each year, more than 400 new awards worth in excess of $600,000 are provided through a variety of programs designed to assist students in the Austin, Texas area and beyond.

Award Amount: The award amount varies annually depending on the amount of funding that is available.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
